Volunteers' Week: Bowled Over!

Volunteer Bristol hosted ‘Bowled Over’, a 50s themed Bowling social event on Weds 6th June to celebrate national Volunteers' Week (June 1st-7th).  The event was to thank our volunteers for their dedication, hard work and passion – we really couldn’t keep our services going without them.  We challenged them to show us what they’re made of at The Lanes Bowling Alley, Nelson Street and they really took the opportunity to show off their bowling prowess (or lack thereof!). The event was open to all Volunteer Bristol’s regular volunteers and we enjoyed meeting volunteers and their friends over pizzas and drinks.  By the end of the evening, unfortunately we weren’t all bowling experts but everyone had a hilarious time and there were even a few strikes!
